Academy of Fine Arts

Presented in a new visual concept, the Collection of Old Masters is again on view in the Academy of Fine Arts, a masterpiece of Theophil Hansen, one of Vienna’s leading architects of the late 19th century.  He designed it for the world-renowned Vienna Academy of Fine Arts, the oldest of its kind in the world.
Besides paintings by Hieronymus Bosch, Lucas Cranach, Tizian, Tiepolo, Rubens and Rembrandt, you may also marvel at the works of the leading representatives of Viennese Classicism, many of whom studied art at this academy.
